My rates for medical and pharmaceutical translations and translations in other fields are based on the degree of difficulty and complexity of the source text. Each text is different. That's why the rates given below are just clues to the price range applied.

Calculation of rates is based on the number of lines of the target text, the number of words of the source text or the number of hours needed.

Line rate:

My line rate is based on the complexity and content of the text to be translated and ranges between EUR 1.10 and 2.50 (plus VAT, if applicable). One line is 55 keystrokes (including spaces) of the target text.

Word rate:

My word rate is based on the complexity and content of the text to be translated and ranges between EUR 0.14 and 0.36 (plus VAT, if applicable). The price of project is calculated based on the number of words of the source text. 

Hourly rate: 

My hourly rate is EUR 60.00 (plus VAT, if applicable).

Surcharges for express orders, night and weekend work:

For express orders, night or weekend work a surcharge of 40% on the basic rate will be invoiced.

Minimum charge:

For small orders a minimum charge of EUR 25.00 (plus VAT, if applicable) will be invoiced.

Handling charge:

My handling charge (for postage, phone calls, faxes, data transmission, etc) per project is EUR 3.00 (plus VAT, if applicable).

Certification fee:

For certified documents and certificates a certification fee of EUR 10.00 (plus VAT, if applicable) per document will be invoiced.
